    Default Diy rod transport rack

Just another diy project that I just
did. kinda hard for me to spend 200 bucks on a pre
made rod rack so I thought of this and spent 40
bucks total. Works great. Thought I'd share
this in hopes someone else in my situation could use this idea.

That black part on it is just some double sided
velcro that I glued down. to prevent any rods coming out
    in transit

I like it. I use PVC rod transport holders in my truck while taking my rods to the water.

Make sure the rods won't be able to slide forward and the handle drop out of the rack. I had that happen to me once. Looks good.

I would want the rod tips facing the back of the boat instead of forward .

Yeah I wanted the tips facing opposite way too but I figured for when im
driving to the lakes it would be safer for them to sit as they do.

Think about it.....your limber rod tips will be hitting the wind going down the road head on......you will damage or break some. I transport mine all the time.....you need the butt ends of the rods facing the front of the boat. You also should rig up a bungie cord to hold your rods in place under tension on both racks .
