    Can someone tell me a good, dependable tying vice? I'm looking to tie some jigs and don't want to buy a piece of junk.

    If you are just wanting a fixed vise, good for basic jig tying you can get one for $10 from BPS, Janns Netcraft, or Barlows Tackle.

    How much do you want to spend? If I were just starting out, I'd probably get one of Cabela's vises:

    Regal and Griffin make good vises. I have a Griffin, but I don't think they make that model anymore.

    For $600, you can get a very nice Renzetti. :D
