    Default good trip bad trip

hit a spot with a bud who hasnt been to that lake in a boat . i told him before we got there it could go pretty well .....but then again the lake has reputation for putting the best anglers in the ole "what the heck" boat .....
he said hey when we were launching the lil minnow i see you brought a net ...i said yeah it might be the difference in this spot, whale crappie lurk there and fish up to around 3 might be available . We agreed up front though not to keep any fish for several reasons . one we will need to carry about a zillion drinks ......wont be much room for fish in the box anyway ....
it was 105 when we hit the lake i might just add .....
two i dont want to clean fish and three neither did he ......
and let the fishy story begin ......ran about 200 yards to a timber line and tied the ole minnow up to the very first tree
the graph said there was like a zillion slabs down there ....
then proceeded to spank em really good .....
we were in what i consider deeper water and both of us dont typically do this type of ketchn so it wasnt easy at first for him . but as the day went on he got in the groove as i coached him a bit on the they are NOT biting program . these fish dont move when they take a bait and wont hold it for but about a half second . but once you get tuned in its on like donkey kong !
any color you want to drop will do and dont wait for a bite ....we dropped chart , white , orange , blue and combinations of those as well .....you have watch that line like a hawk and if it slacks a tiny bit put the you know what on it HARD !
we managed quite easily 2 limits plus a bunch and very few small fish ...one bluegill one yellow bass and large bass ....black and white crappie were there that day in large numbers ....
in the end it was good trip ....and a bad trip as well ....bad we had to leave em biting that is .....

I think you miss counted. I think there are a least 2 zillion showing on the graph. Would love to park the wife on a pile like that. Love the pictures and congrats on a great catch.
