Apparently my son put my new pack of bobbers in the toaster oven and my wife did not see them in there when she went to heat up the shells for Taco Tuesday

If I had to hide my just bought new fishing tackle :donoI would just put it in the stove oven. My wife would never look there.:twocents But the microwavenonono bad idea as it gets used all the time. Worse two things for a man ever invented was canned(pop) biscuits and a microwave.:banghead

You should have put them bobbers in a tackle box where they could do some good...but you left them lying around and stuff happens. We have all been there my friend. The only sure fire remedy is to immediately go out and buy yourself a boat. You will feel much better over the loss of the bobbers and the boat will have plenty of storage for all the bobbers you buy in the future. Let your wife and son know you were compelled to go do that in order to save toaster ovens and your home from future disasters.

Now I like that logic!

I have the same counter top.

Fortunately my kids are beyond that stage, however the grand-kids will be there before long. I can't wait to see what kind of damage, um payback, um mischief grandpa can get them into. I mean they get into... :popcorn

Although that is odd (putting them in a toaster oven), I'm surprised the young lad didn't take them to the bath tub... Or the toilet!

One thing I've learned about having a daughter, they are NOT like boys. They don't want to put stuff in the toilet, burn ants with magnifying glasses, blow up GI Joes in the sand box with fire crackers, or parachute train the hampster from the top steps. And I thought having a child would give me the excuse to be able to try all those things again!

I say, purchase a melting pot, some hooks, some powder paint, and use the toaster oven to make jigs!! I think you might be albe to melt those bobbers back in to shape though! Just add a little GI Joe plastic from the leftover parts in the sandbox.

I wonder what comes over kids to do stuff like that? I used to be stricken with racing. One evening while loading up, we could smell something burning. I told my bro in law "we have done too much work not to go". When we got to the track and fired it up, it blew a plastic ball out of the side pipe. That was over 30 years ago and we still talk about it. DP
