Ohio River creeks 7/31

Went fishing this morning until noon. Been about 3 times in the month of July, following the same pattern: putting in just after sunrise and fishing until noon. I was convinced that the bigger crappie were moved out of the creeks and to the river in summer as I only ever caught dinks. From my recent ventures, it's clear to me that they're still there, but after about 10 or 11am, it's time to call it day. Or fish late into night but I'm more a morning fisherman.

Anyway - been catching small ones and some nice ones too, in fairly shallow brush. Biggest one today was 14" but caught quite a few nice ones.

River is getting crowded lol. There was a bass tournament AND a bow fishing tournament going on.
