Truman Friday/Saturday...

My son and I were planning on going to MTL for the weekend but changed to Truman because we took one of my buddies and his grandfather and Truman is Grandpa's lake!

we set a trot line and 3 jug lines for cats and dipped minnows in the trees for crappie.

Not a great trip for the crappie, but what we caught were quality fish. 4guys fishing for probably 6hours each day Friday we cleaned 16, Saturday 8, Sunday morning 5. Most fish were in 27-35' of water, I caught most my fish on the drop.

catfish were hot. We cleaned 37 fish, threw back at least 10 small ones, and released 4 in the slot. Trotline was not effective so we dismantled it and made 4 additional jug lines. we were using cut shad and setting the jugs in 32-35' of water. Most fish came off hooks in the 15-25' range.
