Default Anyone crappie fish LOZ - Big Buffalo area?

Heading down to LOZ near Big Buffalo next weekend. Trying to decide if it is worth hauling my 16' jonboat down to crappie fish. I have no idea about this area of the lake. Anyone know how bad boat traffic will be? Was thinking bout pulling some cranks in the creeks or even the main lake.

Nor sure where big buffalo is but......

I wouldn't plan in a crappie fishing weekend here this coming weekend.
4th weekend is always BIG water.

I was hoping up around the 68 -70mm there would not be as much big boat traffic.

I was looking at my find mo fish app and it looks like it's about half the way to Truman up the Osage , my guess is that there should be less big boats up that way so I would take yours and get out early catch a few and get back to cabin to relax in the heat of the day then head back out around 6 and find a few more before dark . But that's just me I luv pulling cranks , good luck and keep us informed

You won't get pounded by big boats up there, but the crappie fishing will likely be slow as all hell above Rainey creek. I would either chase the catfish or the bass if I was confined to the area above Ivy bend.
