While having my new boat inspected for a Coast Guard safety sticker this morning, they were very attentive to my life jackets. According to them there has been a very high number of jackets, all varieties, that are not UL listed or Coast Guard approved showing up lately. Thankfully mine were and got the sticker to show all in compliance. So if your in the market for new life jackets be aware these are out there. If you recently bought some you might want to take a peek at them. If not UL listed and USCG approved they are not in compliance with laws.
