    Default BillBob fishes again!

After a couple of very stormy days in Indiana with winds cracking over 100mph in a couple of towns, 3.5 inches of rain here and there, I got to get together with BillBob again, and I talked him into fishing Lake Lemmon outside of Bloominton, IN. of which he had never fished before. This lake is Indiana's 11th largest and 1700 acres and has a good population of crappie in it. 2 weeks ago,,I was still catch crappies with eggs in some of them still, but today, after cleaning 25 crappies that we put in the cooler, plus a nice 12.5 inch Yellow Perch, all females had spawned out finally. Water temp averaged 83 degrees with a light NW breeze, and so we launched about 6:45am as the sun was breaking on us and air temp was a nice 71 degrees but still alittle humid. As the sun came up higher, we got lucky, fog blew in and covered the sun till about 10:30am making it a even more perfect morning for BillBob and myself keep the air temperature from climbing. We started slow searching the creek channel, and finally found some fish and commenced to catching one here and there fishing in 10' to 15' of water, with BillBob trolling Arkies and I was pushing them. Hot colors were Arkansas Shad, Chartreuse with purple back, black bubble gum, black, black with chartreuse tail, to name a few. All fish were caught on Arkie 350's at a speed of 1.5 to 1.8 mph. We put 25 10" to 12.5"crappies in the cooler and released at least twice as many dinks and fished till Noonish before we called it quits. He had a triple once, and several doubles and twice as much fun today making it our best efforts in hammering the crappies. Enjoy the pics. Name: IMG_0160.jpg

We both enjoyed a cold front day of fishing as yesterday was 90, hot and humidity was around 80%. Started out slow and finally found them and just kept pecking away at them. Good day of fishing. Can't wait to do it again!
