Sounds like a great day. Bet it was fun.
Hit up Binder Lake this morning and had a pretty good showing. Fishing shallow grass, lily pads, and trees was productive. The bite was good very early and had a jolt of action between 1000 and 1100 o'clock. I had 18 lbs 10 oz on my best 5 bass but lost a 4 to 5 pounder right at the boat; so a 20 lb plus sack was within reach. All my keepers came on a black n' blue jig and trailer, and a top water Booyah Pad Crasher. Biggest was a 7lb 2oz taterhawg.......caught the mouse that's been in my garage, got a big bucket mouth, popped a top at 2 o'clock, great day And idk why the mouse pic posted

Those are some hogs!!
Very nice fish, congrats.
I fished Binder one time like 25 years ago...looks like I need to get back there...Nice ones for sure!
Sounds like a Great time! Those are some hogs for sure, and that "Mouse" looks like trophy class one as well. Do you score those by the girth and length of the tail?

Binder can be hit n' miss and the big fish love a jig....the lake is loaded with gizzard shad, frogs, and crawdads. Binder is like a little lake fork and has a lot of structure. In the summer the bass are shallow early crashing the shoreline and on the edge of lily pads and shallow trees. Then as the day goes on they get tucked into the lily pads or deeper trees. There is a lot of different forage and a lot of different ways to fish. Summer is my favorite time to fish out there, and the chance of getting into some big bass are pretty decent if you target them.
