Thanks for posting, I enjoyed it. No Snoopy pic?
go out in search of striped fish these days . i used to be after them in all the various shapes and sizes back in the day though . one of my very good friends from many moons ago still guides for them and i introduced him to them for his first trip .
now mind you i ketch them from time to time in typically low numbers when i am after crappie but to actually target them is not something i do anymore . so when a guy i never went with told me he was going last sunday and they were biting well and he was going alone i thought oh well why not ? never say never right ?
so out in the big ole sea of waves and recreational boats we went , his rig is maxed out with every trick item you can imagine for playing with the pelagic species . so we went in style and began to play sand bass with the sand bass ...aka white bass .
kinda slow the first stop ,but the second spot was right in the middle of them . we slabbed with one jig above them on humps out in open water water about 27 to 30 foot deep . had a blast and whacked a bunch . we didnt keep a bunch because neither of us wanted many fish and only kept fish above 12 inches , biggest were 16 inches . this particular spot is very well known for numbers but no size so we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the fish .
he turned out to be a really great guy and lots of fun and his boat dog "snoopy" was a trooper for sure as well ....
so thanks Tex if you are out there reading this .....i enjoyed your company and the boat ride my new friend
until my next adventure have a great day

I sure like that cleaning table set up, where is it located?
what lake were you fishing?
I was on Eagle Mountain lake in Azyle Texas and the cleaning station was the Ft Worth anglers club , private club and a nice spot to launch , clean fish and swim . It was muddy the day we went up on that end of the lake due to all the rain.
As far as Snoopy I was not to sure about photos of other folks dogs ... He is boxer / border collie and a real good boat dog and quite the nice guy once you get to know him , and yes I took him a dog biscuit to warm him up a bit when we met , he is quite protective of his boat ..... LOL
