We launched at 9 am today. Water temp was 70 degrees with the air rising from the mid 60's to the mid 80's by the time we pulled at 1 pm. Predicted winds were suppose to be 10 - 15 mph today. But we never saw any of it. We were "lucky" to get an occasional 5 mph zephyr from time to time! So, we did a lot of casting instead of our preferred drifting presentation.
We didn't do too badly for a few hours of fishing however, with a total CPR of 34 fish. And these fish were much better quality (size-wise) than what we've been hitting on the river. Most fish today were crappie, with a few gills and a yellow perch. Walt also got a nice 2# smallmouth today as well. We fished with straight tails, paddle tails and Roadrunners. The CB sliders produced the most fish, as usual.
Here are some of our pics:
A fine day to be on the water. I bought one of those "Mission" cooling towels to put around your neck for when it gets hot. Still sitting in my tackle bag. Totally forgot to use it! DUH! LOL!

Nice fish guys!
