    Default Last minute Altamaha trip.

My Dad and I started out yesterday on the Oconee River and after about 45 mins of fishing and only two small fish we decided to make a move. We decided to head down to the Altamaha, We got there about 10 and fished until 6 we ended up with 28 Bream and one Catfish. The bite was really slow until about 4:00 and it started picking up really good.

Glad y'all caught a good mess. When I went over Altamaha on Friday on hwy 169/121 it was full and muddy. Ever been to Hughes old river fish camp? Andy-1 Cove

Hughes Old River is totally private now. You must be a member to fish it. The mouth of it is public and as you go in, you will see the Private Signs. It was one heck of a hole at one time. I am going down to Horseshoe lake near Baxley Friday and will post our results.

I wish we were able to stay until dark we finally started getting on some bedding fish and it was starting to cool down to really start catching them. I will be back down that way soon, I don't know if it will be Adamsons or Morgans or maybe a little further south to the state park.
