Default Planer board recommendation for LOZ

Happy Friday! This is my second season trolling and I'm starting to think about adding some planer boards to my arsenal. Can you guys make any recommendation as far as which make/model planer boards I should try? Thanks and have a great weekend.

I've been using Off Shore planers with tattle flags for about 10 years now and love them. I've recently began experimenting with Opti Mini Planers with tattle flags. I think I like them better. They run beside the boat about the same as the Off Shores but its easier to detect a small fish. The entire board falls out of formation. The mini planers also have adjustable tension springs on the clips.

Alright Chris where can we find the Opti mini boards? I got to check them out. Can you get away with less rod using them. I hate not being able to switch from slow trolling/pushing jigs to trolling cranks/jigs because of not having the other set of rods in the boat. I run Pro Angler rods which are pretty stout but not enough for the Off Shore boards.

I found them. I sure like the price tag on them. I may have to order a few and give them a try.

I still use a MH rod for pulling planers Jared. The small planers still put a lot of drag on the rod

Thanks Chris. I keep telling the wife all the reasons I need all the different rods but she just don't believe me.
