    Default Best reel for spider rigging


    Guys what reel you like best for spider rigging.i got all spinning reels don't like all the memory in my line plus take up lot of room in rod box.was looking at grizzly elite reels or a bait caster reel.what do you guys like pros and cons.thank you for any help you can give me.

    I like the Daiwa Lagunas. They are small and compact, but very smooth.

    Shakespeare agility , plenty of reel for rigging with thumb bar . Catch them on sale at academy sports for about $22.00 .

    low profile bait caster, thumb bar type, cheapest reman you can buy. remember they are basically for holding line and playing fish with one hand while netting with the other, not for casting...

    What windstone says. Great when you get caught in the wind with 2 or 3 rods hung up at once. Just reach down and hit the thumb bar to release the tension til you can get things lined up again.
