Shortville Sun 5-15

Went this afternoon from 3-7:30 PM. Put in at Mecca free ramp which is now accessible. It was slow going. I tried multiple coves up north, fishing along the bank and wasn't really even getting any regular bites. Water was muddy. Fishing anywhere from 2 feet down to 5 feet down, with minnows, along the banks. I ended up with 6 fish, two around 11", four at 9 1/2", and maybe 5 dinks mixed in. It wasn't supposed to rain but it started pouring at 7:30 so I got soaked on my way back to the ramp and when loading the boat. I'm hoping it was just the cold weather that pushed them back out deep, and that the spawn is still coming. No pics because there wasn't much to write home about. Nice evening on the water till the rains came!

I have been having decent luck just bank fishing by the marina.

I went to PL today and was surprised i didnt see you there.

Not too bad for conditions. Cold weather and rain has moved them to deeper water. Hopefully will pick up in few days.
