Abu 5500 c3 question anti reverse question

I read that they don't have an anti reverse dog, so how does the anti reverse work

All of mine do. I have 4 Ambassadeurs and they all have AR dogs inside. Of course, mine are circa 1960 - 1985.

What Crestliner said. Check with Dans reel repair online. If I have the name right he has a full service and the fullest parts stock of those I've checked into. It might be this guy, but the one I remember was in Missouri , I believe.

I cleaned and worked on 8 or 10 back last fall for a friend. They all had a reverse pawl in them. Some different than others but all worked same way.

The old abu's have a dog the newer ones have an anti reverse roller bearing.
