Default To Push or To Pull ???

I know some of you do both but if your doing one or the other what determines as to whether you push or pull for crappie and why? Is it just seasonal, weather related, water conditions or something else?

I push and pull at the same time often. Sometimes I do better on one or the other while im out there. Each day has been different from my experiences. But normally for me my pulling poles out performs my pushing poles most of the time. But there are some days where pushing does better but not many in my experiences.

Pushing is easier to make tight turns or to work around timber.
Pulling generally works better when fish are more scattered or skittish of the boat.

I usually do both, and add more rods to which every method is working better that particular day.

I pull just cause I like it better. But I usually only do it from Fall to spawn while in open water and scattered. But I aint tourny fishing either.
