Default Rigging in the Summer patern question.

Will be doing some rigging this Summer my first during that time frame.
recently I managed two poles with minnows and had some success.

as the Summer pattern come on do you mostly still use minnows or is using just jigs good?

I use both and a combination of both. I like to start with a couple rods with straight minnows and a couple with straight jigs. Then run a couple with jigs tipped with minnows. Let them tell you what they want for the day. It can change daily in the summer when rigging.

Me personally, it's seldom that I leave the ramp without minnows. Even when I plan on strictly jig fishimg

I try to use jigs but the minners talk to me. And think about the bait people I help out. And I like to keep Manny off my favorite brush piles.

I usually go straight to pulling cranks...

Ripinlips... Don't let me find one of your brush piles, or I'll be on it like a part time job. Lol

just what do the minnows have to say to you? I don't speak minnow, but I'm pretty fluent in skipjack, they talk dirty!

When I rig this time of year I reduce my poles from eight to two, sometime it is only one, I hold it, with a jig, sometimes a minnow, then I lower it by cover... ok... I'm not rigging, I'm dipping.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
