    Default Prairie Lee 4-30-16

Fished from 5-8:30 PM tonight. Ended up with 5 nice crappie (for PL) between 11-12", and then 5 smaller around 9", and then tons of 6" fish. The big ones only wanted minnows, about 4 feet down in 8 fow, and the big ones were caught between 6:45-7:15 PM. The little ones were 6 feet down in 10 fow. The big ones turned on, and shut off, just like that. But dinks were a-plenty. The females I caught still had tight eggs, so it should heat up here this week. Good luck!

Nice job. Hopefully they start bc its a nice quiet lake with not too much boat traffic.

I went back this morning and fished from 8-noon and I caught over 40 fish. One fish was 11 1/2". The rest were 9" or less. I kept about 20 of the 8 1/2-9's. All were male. The females are yet to move up. This week.

They say the gates open at 8 am but when I got there today at 8 there were already six empty trailers in the lot. I think the ranger guy opens it early for a group of guys that have their own bass tournament on random Saturdays. I'm not sure when they are scheduled though. Makes me wonder because I'd like to launch earlier too!
