Don't know about the 510 but the 102 is an excellent unit.

Crappie52, you can call Linda Colt at Lowrance. She can tell you in a heartbeat. Her number is 1-800-324-1356 extension 8747.
She's a sweetheart. Hope this helps

    Hey Tim,
Yes, they are the same unit. Lowrance is phasing out the 102c and the 332c & 334c and changing the model number to the 500 serise.

    Default Lowrance units

1weezer is right, Lowrance is just changing the model numbers for 2007 and phasing out 3 of the other model numbers. I own both the x102c and the 334c and both units are great! The x102, does not have GPS like the 332 and 334 and there may be a couple of other differences in the units but I think you will be happy with either unit you decide to go with. I had a dealer tell me recently the three units are in high demand and are getting pretty hard to find in some areas. If you can find them, you are buying the same unit as the 500 models but you can probably save some money. Good luck and enjoy the COLOR, it makes a difference!

I bought a 2007 520C WITHOUT GPS or transducer at Cabelas for $399.00. Bought tm transducer for $77.00, all total $376.00. Installed on my boat and GPS appeared on screen but would not respond, installed NEMA antenna, GPS works. My two cents.

102 is a very good unit, you should be in real good shape with the newer version.

I just got home from the Wheeling WV Cabelas. I went down there to get an LMS-332C and ended up getting a X510C and a GlobalMap 5200C. I called on wednesday and the fella told me he didn't know when they were getting the new models in, so I had them hold a 332C for me. But unbeknowings to me, they got all the new models in yesterday morning.

The fella in the marine department told me the same thing that has been posted here with a few more additions. The X510C replaces the X102C, the LMS-520C replaces the LMS-332C, and the GlobalMap 5200C replaces the GlobalMap 3500C. They are the same units with a couple of improvements. They have better waterproofed connectors, and they have a 5-pin ethernet port on them for radar, video, and satellite radio. The new units are the same price as the older models, but with the added features.

BTW, they had a whole bunch of 332C's and 334C's left. But all the older GlobalMap models were sold out.

Now I gotta move my Fishmark 480 up to the bow, wait for the weather to break, and go fishin' in COLOR!
