    Default Blackshear Crackers

Took my dad Sunday to Blackshear to search for some crackers after the full moon we had Friday....after lots of searching we finally found some. I've been a member for many years but had to create another profile. Hopefully there will still be some on or around the same beds this weekend but I imagine they will be long gone after 7 days of warm weather.

No, but a few that were close. I imagine the bigger ones were out deeper, which is where i started out looking but came up empty.

My son and I tried to find some of Blackshear's shellcrackers Friday. From what we heard we were fishing the right places but were a week or two late.

I haven't fished Blackshear but about a dozen times and I haven't learned enough about it to have any confidence in my ability to catch fish there. She is a beautiful lake with every kind of cover I like to fish but she sure hasn't given up any of her secrets to me or made me very welcome.

The Oconee River is getting right at Dublin so I'm going to replace the trolling equipment in my old boat with river fishing gear and look for some bream and channel cats.
