How awesome! I had no idea Maine grew crappie that big.
Some of my best fishing days of my life have been uber windy.
This morning was looking a little iffy when I left home. Yesterdays 4 inches of snow was still here. I loaded up a shovel some salt and a bucket to gather water to melt snow at the ramp. I was prepared for what I thought was to come. Headed up the road and as I went along the snow was less and less. Got to the lake and NO snow. We launched at 30 degrees. We had our winter garb on. Coats hats face mask and gloves along with ski pants. We got to our spot and WIND was already there. Put the trolling motor down and began to cast with No takers. Made a move and one or two showed up. Made another move and more wind but also more fish. We had to anchor before long. That was ok because it was Bite On. We landed 48 slabs and back to back 36 and 34 inch Pike on 4lb. test. Mine was 36 and weighed 11 1/2 lbs. Biggest slad was 16 1/2 and 2.5 lbs. Many doubles. Wind finally was to strong and we couldn't hold anchor.

Congrats on a great day! I am always amazed by those golden slabs!
Makes me want to move back up that way until you said 30 degrees and snow in April. BEAUTIFUL crappie pics! As usual! Water must be super clear.
Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!
