Default My first real crappie adventure!

I live in Wyoming were there really isn't much warm water fishing so I was very excited to try to catch some crappie on my trip to Lake Powell UT this past week. I only fished for them for one day since there are so many other species to fish for but I managed to get a pile to bring home! PS don't mind the couple walleyes thrown into the mix lol.

This is the canyon that I was fishing and they were stacked up around these submerged trees.

This is my first crappie ever as far as I can remember. A big thanks to the people on this site who helped me get the correct gear to catch these guys.

Once I got them figured out I caught them pretty easily the rest of the afternoon and filled the livewell up nicely!

This is my biggest of the day. Don't mind the hole in him I started filleting him before I thought of taking a picture.

    Enjoy!

That place is absolutely beautiful, my kind of country. If I was there I could care less if I caught fish or not. Very nice.
