    Surprise catch while crappie fishing , heck of a fight on a 14 ft pole with 6 lb line ky lake



    2 lb black and 1 3/4 white crappie ky lake

    Nice catch! I saw a big female gar like that with about five males rubbing all up against her sides Sunday afternoon.

    Not bad meat, tough as all heck to clean, just DO NOT eat the roe. Crappie is a whole bunch better eating than a gar though..

    down in this part of the country gar make a whole lot better fertilizer for our maters than table fare.
