Shout out to CDC member

Prior to my annual trip to Florida I posted a request on CDC to buy a Navionics chip that had Florida lakes on it. Before I got any hits on one for sale, I got a PM from Shuroc, a Florida CDC member, offering to loan me an extra one that he had.
I got it from him a few days later, used it last week while down there and now have returned it to him.
Now I ask you, where else would you find the generosity of folks like we have here? He will probably fuss at me for posting this, but I could not let it pass without a huge thank you to a fellow member for lending a hand.
It does not stop there though. I knew he liked to jig fish so I ordered some local jigs known as Rooty Tooty 309, from a fellow member here in SC. When I got the jigs I did not have an invoice for them. I PMed Tommy to ask about the bill and he said just send them to him and wish him good luck.
What an amazing group of folks we have here. Thanks to Shu and Tommy for your part in making my trip a sucess.

I tell folks that I have a second family here, and things like you speak of is part of the reason why. Some of the best folks I've ever met. Glad you had a good trip.

Just read Slab's post above about the good things done after having fishing tackle stolen and I think back to when all my rods and reels were stolen and how the guys from Louisiana gave me two rods then Slab gave two more and the end result was better than the start. Got to thinking all the good folks around C.D.C. and how much we mean to each other, then came on this thread and got a lump in my throat not for something I've done but for this site and all the caring people associated with it. A BIG thanks to all and to Slab for keeping it what it is.--shu
