What a great though gloomy, chilly day. Fished from 12:45-4:30 pm and left once the rain got too heavy. Very productive for yellow perch, crappie, sunfish and a bass.
I wanted to see if a clear, very-soft plastic hand pour would work today under a dark sky, in the rain and in 46 degree water. The bite was more powerful than for any other color including bright white and solid pink body with chartreuse tail, though colored baits in different designs did catch fish .

The one with the thin tail and the grub with the dark speck were rigged on 1/16 oz jigheads and did well in water 8-14'. I even caught fish with a float-&-grub rig; the float got pulled under for eight crappie in a row. (Haven't hit a school since March.)
