    Default 4-9-16 Glaize Report

Fished 3-dark with dad and ended up with 22 keepers. I went farther up the Glaize than I had been before looking for new spots and wasted quite a bit of time exploring or we probably could have finished off two limits. Dad can't dock shoot so we focused on brush in 12-20' of water. Nothing was deeper than 8' foot. Blue/chart and white/chart were our best colors. The bite really picked up during the last hour of light.

Doesn't sound like you need to dock shoot if you caught 22 as windy as it's been.

That's usually my go to pattern, but it was nice being able to just sit back and cast at them for once. I did shoot a few times just for practice and all I was doing was mistiming the waves and bouncing my jig over cross members and getting ticked off!

Hopefully after we get several days of warm weather this weekend, the crappie will move in closer to the banks and I can get my dad, mom and fiance up there on some fish. I've had the worst luck and getting other people to catch fish on that lake.
