with a large bass and 1 bluegill in the mix for fun ...

Looks like fun. Congrats.
Wow!
Be safe and good luck fishing
Nice catch. Thanks for sharing.
Great fish, congrats!
I love fishing a float before daylight you can barely see the float but they sure do bite good then.
thanks so much for the reads and comments . i really enjoy this type of ketchn but my other half wont let me do it near as much as i used to . says she cant sleep well if i am not at home . Really wanted to try them this am but no dice she said ....) =
anyway i will tell yawl it was sure enough on fire that morning and let me also say this ...AS SOON AS THE FIRST BIRD CHIRPED they were gone ....
little fish moved in at first light like i see over and over time and time gain .
those that would have you thinking the little fish move in late in the spawn and or dont get to use the prime spots from what i can tell are totally confused as to whats actually happening .Best i can tell the larger more wary fish stay away in the daylight due to predators . The small fish are not as wary it seems to me .
anyway on this particular water body i am pretty sure i have it right after a few years of chasing them in there . Many folks will say it only has small crappie in it . that is true most of the daylight hours for sure and even in the dark at times as well . But myself and my buds have managed alot of fish over 2 lbs out of there and i know of 5 or 6 people that have managed to ketch their biggest crappie ever out of there .
so go when you can but in the end remember the real nice ones play in the dark in many spots .....i went for a bit yesterday in the daylight and all we managed was 1 good fish and several shorts . the big fish had vacated the spawning area just like they always do when it gets light.
and below are a few of the daylight version ...whales to be if you will ....LOL
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
and then a few more of the dark thirty version fish ....
stay tuned ......
and as always have a great day

I have found the same things to be true my friend. I spent spring break at west point GA. It's known for numbers not size but we catch pigs there every year. But like you say they want bit till dark or almost dark.
