    Default Sunday on the LOZ

With the youth turkey season next weekend we spent much of the day scouting. We did manage to drop the boat in late Sunday morning after the wind had already came up. We fished the mid-lake area for just a couple hours and managed to catch of few on white/chartreuse tubes behind roadrunner jig heads. Water temp was just under 53 degrees, water was stained but overall in good shape. These were caught about in about 12-14 foot of water with a real slow retrieve. Fished some shallow water just for the heck of it, but no bites. Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to right this one picture.

Gotta love the smiles. Wish him luck on Turkey hunting. And post picks if he scores on one
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
