    Default cheap crappie reels

I had 4 Pfluger reels and just broke the bail spring in the Trion. Had 2 Trions and 2 Presidents. Went to Walmart and bought a Outdoor Angler. I am not cheap, but my brother just bought a couple and said they were not bad reels. They have 6 ball bearings and seem to run smooth. They are made for Walmart in China and are about $16.00. Anybody have any experience with them.Thanks.....crappie1133

I have one, and it is a decent reel, excellent for $16. I also bought one of th $6 ones, basically as a line holder, and have been pleased with it. The $6 one has a rear drag.

like you I am not a cheap person but I did the same as you and got 2 of them and have been surprised with them. I also buy the Quantum reels at Academy for about 20.00 they have been good for ma as well.

    Hi all.
Unless I'm primarily casting road runners with an open faced reel - all of my poles:
bobber, dipping, and spider rigging: all use the basic cheap under spin reels loaded with 6pd Stren gold line. They have never failed yet If I have problems with anything - I just change to a new one.
