Its a new year and I know by you pro crappie fishermen standards its a late start but I am headed out to ceasars creek tomorrow to try to find them. Any pointers?
Lake temps are rising and you should find plenty of action in the upper 10 fow. On day they could be 1' deep and the next day 8' deep. Normally I'm a jig guy but the other day I went with a friend who wanted some minnows. Good thing we brought them because we caught 6 to 1 on the minnows. All our usual spots were either dead or the wind was blowing so hard we couldn't fish them.
Advice is keep an open mind, change tactics and keep moving until you find them.
