Stellar days! Some fine eatin on the ole stringer.
Wednesday was a ridiculous south wind and warm and Thursday was a ridiculous north wind and cold . Welcome to Texas and our weather mood swings . to say it was easy spanking the fish would be short of the truth ,but none the less we gave it to them both days pretty good . The south was the better of the 2 ,but as in most cases a strong weather change made for a little more of a challenge on the fish . The fish were mostly out in deeper water both days , but as with crappie we are beginning the "next" spawn on that water body and it should be going well in the next few days hopefully . some males were up close to the bank again ,but for the most part the fish were staged out in the deep brush .
They will take bright colors early with a tendency to want more natural sparkly baits as the sun shines down on them . I released my fish Wednesday and only stayed for about an hour off the bank . The Thursday fish went in my buds freezer and we used my little john boat and stayed about 3 hours . Sure was ccccold in that strong north wind and 40 degrees outside at first light , took a pretty fair beating we did paddling around in that . I am in hopes i get to go ketch some fish elsewhere soon , but right now they sure are fun at that little lake .
as always hope you enjoy the photos and the read .....

That's a pretty stringer! Congrats on the great days!
Nice catches. Changing conditions can sure make it tough to keep up. Good job.

Pretty colors on the fish congratulations.
thanks for the reads and comments . I know its been kinda dicey on the public waters in our area lately but I hear good things are starting to come online in some of the east Texas larger lakes and I bet we will see the same soon over here on our local lakes as well ....
