    Its a built in transducer for 2D sonar......you do however have to buy a adapter cable from your sonar manufacturer to hook it up.

    and if you have down scan or side scan they won't work with it, only 2D or reg. sonar

    so...G..be patient with me.....if you get an ipilot with the built in td, the ff the ipilot is hooked up to must not have ds or ss capability?

    Do not believe that to be correct.

    If the sonar unit has DI or SI those functions will not work.

    Just mount the SI ducer to TM unless your unit is sonar only. US2 not so great anyway.

    can you get the i pilot without the td built in?

    The I Pilot has nothing to do with the transducer. You can order with or without US2, Ipilot works on either. IMHO the US2 transducer is outdated since it wont do DI or SI.

    What they all said Tal .....I have my built in transducer on my tm connected to a ff with 2d sonar.....and I have a di transducer clamped on my tm for my Helix with di......and I can run them both at same time without any interference.......my si fish finder is mounted on my console with transducer on my transom.
    I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
