    Default Astor in April

Me and 3 others will be headed to Astor on April 22. I've only been one other time but I loved it. Any tips would be appreciated, I hope to post pictures of lots of fish when we get back.

Lake George although it can get rough in a hurry there. My personal favorite place is Lake Woodruff ,followed by Lake Dexter.Great fishing although back in Feb. there were no pads on either.

We went in July last year for the first time and fished near Lake Dexter a lot and did good there, also did ok in Morrison Creek but didn't make it up to Lake George. I hope they are biting good.

I will be down there all week but leaving on the 22nd. Send me a PM on the 21st and I will give you the skinny. Be careful when you leave down there. They are really getting tough on over possession limits. If you are leaving on Sunday, they have been known to stop trucks pulling boats and making folks count their fish......

when we were there in feb the new game warden introduce himself to us the 1s afternoon,he seems to be targeting out of staters.he wasn,t very friendly.last year we were checked out on woodruff by an extremely nice officer, the new guy does't seem to realize the economy there is supported by out of staters, ican remember the time you could hardly get a place tl stay in astor.not that way any more.
