Water temp. today was 42 degrees with the air hovering around the upper 50's. Walt & I hit some back waters off the main river from about 9:30 am until 12:30 pm. Light to variable breezes kept it rather cool at times; but then again, we're "New Englanders"!
Using Slider Grubs and BGBS's we probably caught & released 40 - 50 crappie & decent yellow perch between us. No other species were caught today. It was just about every cast for awhile. Good start to the season. Here are some pics:
