Question Southwest ohio bite, Caesars or East Fork?

Anyone have any luck this past week at Caesar creek lake or EastFork lake for crappie? Do you think the fish kill will have an effect on East fork this spring? Looking to take my father in law Thursday if they are moving up just lookin for a little hope.
    Thanks Bassky

Hoping to hear about EF myself. With the river high, I'll be heading there Friday. I'll report then if someone else doesn't report first.

I went late last year, after the kill - and fished the mid to lower end of the lake like I usually do. It's hard to tell from that sample size as the fish move but I did find that the crappie I caught were smaller on average than they had been all year in that spot.

I am thinking of putting in at the campground and fishing the upper end of the lake on Friday. I also think they might spawn early this year. Not quite yet but getting close.

Friend told me EF was 55-62 yesterday, muddy and they are pulling it down hard, which sounds a lot warmer than Cmax's readings, maybe a its off a little but sounds like its warming up nicely

Tom, your friend could be right. My reading was from last week. 2 weeks ago we had that little snow and some of the creeks which had started to warm a little had dropped back to the low 40's.
I did hit 50 degrees in one small spot late in the day last Tuesday.
All the lakes in this area should be warming up with the combo of muddy water and lots of sun. I was hoping to get up to Cowan 1 day in the next few weeks that lake has some real pigs in it.

Too windy today pulling water stayed home. Gonna try Caesars Saturday, weather permitting.
