    Default Smithville 3/13

Found some nice crappie today when the weather looked real gloomy but water was calm. Fished a brush pile that had plenty of big crappies and ended up limiting out in 2 hours. Biggest was 14" and the brush pile didn't hold many shorts either. Used 1/16 jig head with a 2" tube jig. Red and chartreuse was the color today. Fish were hugged inside the brush pile 15' deep.

I fished the hot brush pile yesterday evening but only brought home 7. Had been doing good earlier in morning. There were several boats fishing around it when I got there. Nice job and good eating too. Thanks for report.
