Closing Threads?

6,093 views, 124 replies and following all the rules and you close a thread why? Isn’t this site about conversation? I guess we can all just sit back and not express our opinions and quit posting?

I say we open up the "put a knife in the trophy fish" thread and close the twelve-year-old "if I could only have one color ..." thread.

I figure that since I didn't pay anything to become a member here, they can do whatever they want when it comes to using their judgement to decide a thread has outlived its usefulness.
