That's a monster!!! I caught a lot of big flatheads out of Clearwater on jug lines back in the 70's. Congrats on the catch.

October is defiantly the time to catch a monster flattie. About the first of June is another great time. Good luck! try to keep a little conservation in mind when catching those big girls, they are our kids future, too!

Absolutely! we don't keep flathead under 20 pounds normally to be honest except our annual fish fry in mid October then we decrease to 10 pounders and up lol. on a good night may have 15 to 20 fish on 60 or so hooks and out of the 15 to 20 2 or 3 may be over 20 if we are lucky. most times we catch tons of 6-15 pounders seem to be extra populated in that size, great breeding stock to let live to be giants some day! Flathead has got to be the best tasting Catfish if not fish (other than spoonies and fresh caught Mahi Mahi) in my opinion

Nice one!! Used to catch flatheads below the dam at Clearwater when I was a kid.
