Try it you never know you may tear them up. Just remember after a while if that doesn't work try something else different. Always remember crappie fishing is not a game of patience if they don't bite soon I would move or try something different.
The man who was tearing them up yesterday was catching them on a jig fished about 3' deep and the water was 6'-7' deep in a certain area of the lake. I know where it was. But... wow... history-making rain! This area had a flood of rain yesterday and last night. This lake watershed probably got 8"-12" of rain. I have seen places today that are flooded that I have never seen flooded. Highways closed I have never seen closed. So, the lake has already risen big overnight... 2' to 3' rise. And still rising!
Assuming the weather cooperates tomorrow or the next day, would you do anything different? Same area, same depth, same jig? An interesting situation!
