    I'm new to this technique and would like to know what pound test most of you use for long lining.

    4 lb....which ever you choose use it on all your long line rods....that way you can experiment with jig size n speed to control depth...

    Most people use 4 or 6 I prefer 6.

    6 pound Viscious or Suffix hi-viz. The old Mr Crappie was good, not the new stuff.

    6lb test Vicious Panfish copoly hi-vis ... same as I use for casting my jigs.

    Whatever is spooled up. 6-10 pounds. Just add weight or use bigger baits.
