Default ROUGH DAY ON SHORTVILLE..........THIS AFTERNOON...........

Soooooooooooooo many dying shad every where, sea gulls dive bombing for lunch. I caught 2 shorts and, 1- 9.5 3- 10, that was it on jigs. Kinda hard to compete with all of the dying shad on the surface of the water. Smorgasbord for the gulls and fish. Must have been 30 boats out today, just wondering if any one else had a hard time catching any, Seen alot of traffic, didn't see any one snatchin'. Water started out at 36 and ended up being 38-39, beautiful day on the water, weather man WRONG again , about the wind, very nice. First fish came in at 23 ft and the last one was at 17. two cranks off of the bottom. They were attacking the jigs, as in swallowing them.

You did better than me. I got skunked but it was a great day to be out. I fished up river, brush piles and along the dam.

Ended up with 8 keepers for the day with about 6 short fish. Caught them earlier in the morning before 10:00 AM. After that, the weather was nicer but the fishing was harder.

I guess I made the right choice and went for a motorcycle ride instead of a boat ride.

not a bad day, working would have been worse, glad you caught a few, and next time you see them big ball of dying shad, fish the outer edged, that's where the big one hang out.
