If you go to a Corp lake you can get online a land buy a yearly pass that will be good at any Corp lake you go to
I was reading one of the state forums and a member posted the fact that he had joined a private launch ramp. That made me wonder. I spent a great deal of time in Massachusetts and New Hampshire thanks to Uncle Sam. Then I moved to the Dallas area before settling home here in west Kentucky. In all the places I lived and fished free ramps were the norm. And since there were many free ramps, the private ones that do charge do not charge much.
I am building a bigger boat and plan to travel a bit more than I have in the past, and wonder if I am going to have to pay to launch my boat when I do? I plan to fish in the west end of Tennessee, Georgia in the Savannah area and maybe northeast Missouri. What can I expect to pay when I do have to?

I can attest to the fact that we are warring here in Mass due to some state (fishermen funded) launch ramps trying to pass an "upkeep" fee to launch. So I do think that it will become the norm in the not too distant future. The private marinas here do charge a sizable fee to launch. And even on the Quabbin Reservoir, regulated by the MDC and they charge to launch.

I use the $2.00 county ramp on the oposite side of river from another county free ramp. Lot less hooligans use the ramp with minor fee.

When I was stationed at Fort Devens the public launch at Quabbin was free. However I left New England in the late 80s.
While in Texas two of the lakes I fished (Lewisville and Ray Roberts) had free launches and private pay launches and like you I paid the small fee and dealt with a better crowd of folks.

I'll pay a few dollars with a smile. Keeping the vehicle secure, usually better lighting, and some are even a better ramp with no critical drop off at the end.

I know in Mississippi all the main ramps are pay ramps
