:yikesWell I finally bit the bullet and bought a brand new boat. I went with a Tracker Grizzly 1648 MVX tiller model. I bought a brand new Yamaha 25 horse four stroke in the spring and have had the bug since then to just go ahead and upgrade the whole boat. So after saving for several months, its finally here. I spent the last few days getting it wired and rigged and hopefully my new Hitek rod holders will be here next week in time for its maiden voyage. For those thinking of getting a Tracker, so far I am very happy with it. There is plenty of space and it seems to be well built. The real test will come though when I get it out on the water. And of course this thread is useless with out pics so here is a couple to hold you guys over till I can get some better ones. (I have no idea what happened to the color in the first one)

Oh and just for reference here is the ol girl that is getting replaced. She was a good boat and will still hopefully give many more years of fun to her new owner!

Congrats on the new ride, that's one that will last for a lifetime and can be passed on to the kids. The Yamaha is one sweet engine. I have a friend who has a tracker boat and is super happy with it . Also have a friend with a Yamaha engine one happy camper, it only sips fuel. Go get some slime on it.

Yes sir, had to stop in after I bought it and grab a few things and pick up my VIP card. I am actually planning on going up again this afternoon and grabbing a few more things.

That was the biggest deciding factor. I still occasionally use my grandfathers boat that his dad bought used in 1953. This boat will be with my kids and grand kids for years and years to come.

Well I finally got to take the new boat out for a test drive. It didnt go great at first. The motor was tilted up to high and causing the prop to ventilate when trying to get up on plane and it was taking a bit to get on plane. Unfortunatly the Yamaha has two bolts on each side that control the tilt and I didnt have the tools with me so I had to make a run back to the house and adjust it. Once I got back out, the boat ran beautifully, it was alot smoother of a ride then my old boat and alot quieter as well. I was running 25 mph against wind and current and it was a lot more stable than my old boat. On the way back home, my bearing had a catostrophic failure and i had to limp my boat the rest of the way home where i could put a new hub on. That really sucked cuz I just had the bearings greased a week ago, but things happen and its all fixed now. Once I finally got everything back to normal with the hubs I finally got the Hiteks mounted. These things are SOLID! I still have to adjust each individual holder but i will wait till im on the lake to get it exactly where i want it. And here is a few pics as requested.
