Alabama i moved here from mississippi water here is deep and clear the lake i want to fish is fed from another lake with cold water
Sounds like smith lake but not sure we need more info to be sure
You may want to leave this thread going "here" .... and put a post on the Ala state forum, to cover all the bases. And, yes ... it would be a good idea to name the lake or lakes you are referring to, so that members that fish those waters will know what to tell you.
You might also tell the Ala members a little about yourself, join in on the discussions, attend some of the functions, and generally let the folks get to know who you are & what you're about ... before asking anything beyond general information. Remember, this site is open to the WWWeb, and there are internet trolls/meathogs that search for blabbermouths that tell too much ... then go pillage that spot. So, get to know some of the members and let them get to know you .... then you will get much more than just "general information".

The first lake is called yates also know as middle pond the next lake which i have never been on is thurlow both of these are in tallasee al.
drinking water clear lakes= light line and small jigs .4 Lb. test and 1/80 jigs is where I would start .Finding brush will be key , especially with the absence of wind .jmo .
