    Default Books for Gifts

Two of my grandkids are getting into crappie fishing more & more. So, for their birthday's this year, I want to get them each a couple of decent books on our sport. I've never read a book on crappie fishing, so I'm not really knowledgeable of what is best that is out there. Any suggestions? Thanks!

A lot depends on their age. There are some books that are so detailed oriented that it is hard even for an adult to read through. But, there are a lot of books about fishing in general that are well written stories that would peak their interest fishing, regardless of species.

Slip Bobbering by Greg Bohn, awesome book. It's not specific to crappie, but the technique is the same.

Thanks SIcrippie! I'll look into that one. They're 12 & 14 years old and love to read books, so if there are any other suggestions, crappie oriented, I'd appreciated that.

    Here's some to consider : https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...ppie%20fishing

The only book on "fishing" that I have is "Fishing, for Dummies", and it was given to me as a gag gift from a non-fishing co-worker

"Crappie Wisdom" and "The Crappie Fishing Handbook" are the best I have found so far. Good stuff in there for them to understand and use. And if you buy these two books they can share or swap them when the are done reading.
