They should, we put concrete sand then a misture of quickcrete and morter on top, then we stuck the cane in the buckets and added water. We sunk them last night and they went straight to the bottom. They looked good on the depth finder.

How about 2 pieces of rebar crossed through the bottom...maybe 3 feet long each to make sure they stay upright?

Slayem they look great, I am in the proccess of making some too, did you happen to take a pic of them on the graph, just curious what they looked like on the graph.

Did you put them all in one spot, or how many to you put in one spot?

    Thanks

There shouldn't be any problem with them standing upright. With the use of boo or cane, the bouyancy of the air trapped in the stalks will make straighten up just like a weighted cork.

I've not had any experience with pvc, but I figure that tying to the top of the structure a 2 liter bottle or another bottle of some kind will keep the top up during descent. Once settled, the buckets will work into the soft bottom and provide plenty of support. I know some guys that still have buckets planted on a 45 degree angle for over several years and they still stand straight up to this day.
