These are Some Basic Fishing Rig Setups Drawings that I use to catch Crappie, White Bass, Bluegill and even Walleye. They are easy to learn and teach to those young and old who are new to fishing.
On the double rigs, where do you tie the bottom line to?

I would like to know why you use a hook snap under a float? Isn't it important for the jigs to suspend horizontally? Would tying additional jigs off the eye of the upper jig work as well?
Using a snap would help with changing out the jigs and different jig colors faster. So you won't have to cut line and retie jigs.
Be safe and good luck fishing
Tanks! for the illustration Ship! could u please tell me how and what, size and type of bobber to use when tightlining to be able to detect when the crappie bites up. i don't quite understand this method where the bobber falls on it's side to indicate the strike any help would greatly be appreciated.
IMHO:
Any float/bobber will roll over or lay on its side from a "lift bite" ... as long as the weight of the bait is the only thing holding it upright to start with. Once the weight (downward pull) is removed, there's nothing to keep the float/bobber sitting upright.
The only type of float that doesn't work very well for detecting a "lift bite", is one that has weight wrapped around it's lower end. Also, if you have a lot of "hardware" on the line between the float & bait, like sinkers, swivels, a second bait, etc. then the fish will have to lift the bait above them to fully take all the weight off the float and make it fall on it's side.

pretty nifty, like the idea of the snaps.. quick way to change jigs. My question is how far up do you place your bobber stopper? So bobber stopper to bottom jig is about how far? Or does that matter how deep the fish are?
