Default Started Laptop (tablet) PC for Boat Project...Pics

The hardest part to figure out was how to mount this tablet pc. My friend Mr. T made this adapter from a scrap piece of aluminum. He is good at this kinda stuff. I had no clue as to what to do. The silver plate was machined, the black plate is an HP flat monitor quick disconnect, and Of course the RAM Mount is for a flat monitor. It is coming together.

I can display my Ky Hydrographics maps and I also have a wireless GPS input for navigation. Nice big display and I can see it without straining my eyes.

I will be adding a wireless input from a sonar as soon as I get the trial version from New Zealand.

I can split screen view the maps and the sonar, or I can full screen view either.

All I need now is side scan input. It will come along sooner or later.

    I love technology..........

Just think, you can get a satellite connection, a pole mounted webcam and go online from you boat and broadcast live fishing action to us poor deprived snowed in suckers in the north. You can call it crappiecam.com. You guys think I'm kiddin, but I bet it would fly. I'm pretty sure there aren't any live fishing cams yet. Your thinking about it aren't ya Cane?

Looks a bit like a panasonic toughbook. Who made the tablet?

And my Father in Law says my Aqua-view isn't fair to the fish!!! I'm just going to show him Canepoles' setup next time and nip that in the bud! He's taking my handhelds GPS and Palm to the next logical "rocket scientist" level. Can't argue with a genius at play...

Now that I like. Once you get it all working, let me know. I will make a special trip to come and see it firsthand.
